July 9th, 2005, on our way to Ostroh for the first time: A quick "call
of nature" stop along a rural secondary highway.
August 25: en route to Kyiv.
Typical gas station / roadside washrooms along our route to Kyiv.
October 10th, en route to Lviv: We stop
at a roadside monument.
We're now stopped at a gas station just outside of Lviv.
October 19th: On
the northbound train to Lviv, coming out of the Carpathians.
On the overnight train to Odesa, we played
cards with our cabinmates.
Memo to self: Don't travel halfway across Ukraine lugging a
heavy suitcase. Use a backpack.
