PS16 - Sherbrooke
(All photos by William Matheson)
Grampy and Paul.
Nanny and Grampy, with the infamous "bed in a minute." It took longer.
Main Street, Sherbrooke, just before the Restoration.
The Shrebrooke Post Office.
Me, washing the van.
Angie and Alex.
From left to right: Aunt Heather, Erin, Aunt Jesse, Alex.
View from the rock in front of the cottage.
Main Street, Sherbrooke, when it is still also Trunk 7 - looking towards
the middle of town. You'd go this way to get to Sheet Harbour or Halifax.
Looking up towards Old Road Hill. You'd go this way to get to Antigonish
or Canso.
On the second full day, it rained.
From left to right: Andrew, Angie, Erin, Nanny.
Some pictures from the Restoration:
I was running out of film, so I tried to get as much as I could into
this shot.
The interior of Saint James' Presbyterian Church.
Inside the old drug store. The woman on the left knew Stuart - in fact,
she was a relative (!!) on his mother's side.
The old print shop. This is probably where King's will send me - they'll
send the smart kiddies to CityTV or something.
Outside the Gift Shop. Right: Stuart.
The path leading to the cottage.
What a cool still-life! Look, he even signed it!
Nanny and Grampy's driveway. Paul lost his way and fell into the ditch
while driving home from Jean and Robert's that night, but us kids rescued
him. He wasn't hurt.
Some pictures from Jean and Robert's deck.
From just before we left. From left to right: Aunt Jesse, Erin,
Andrew, Alex, Uncle Bill, Stuart.
Mom's car. She'd be going to Cape Breton.
Paul and Robert.
