PS16 - Launching Point
(All photos by William Matheson)

These are from a trip to see the famous eagle's nest. It went well, though I personally was plagued by a dying camera battery. They just don't make them hardy enough for a full day of use between charges.

A cleared portion of Pinecone Forest, home of the eagle's nest.

Heather, who led us on this wild goose chase fine summer outing. =)

The famous nest.

Just to give you a sense of scale (this picture being from a few hundred metres away).

The Eagles weren't around today - Gwaihir was busy rescuing _____ from _____ ____.

The way out:

4th from left: The minister for Eastern Kings Pastoral Charge (this includes Dundas United) was along with us for the trip. She's really cool. She likes ABBA! I hope she's still preaching when I get back to PEI.

I guess on PEI, this counts for a barricade. At any rate, they don't want people driving too close in for fear it would scare the eagles away.

Launching harbour.

They were in the middle of repairing the canalet when we were there.

Ross, standing on Giant McAskil's school supplies.

I found this bit of road / shoreline very Nova Scotia-ish, don't you agree?
