PS16 - Ferry

The trip to PEI:

In Caribou, Nova Scotia. Nigel (driver) and Corey, sitting on a car that isn't theirs. =) Heber had a fit about this one.

Driving onto the MV Holiday Island. Here we go!

Nigel and Corey, sitting on Nigel's car.

And, from the trip back:

Proof to Aunt Shirley that we made it on time. (There were doubts! As it turned out though, Mom and Peggy-Lynn were so late in coming to get me that it probably wouldn't have mattered much.)

Loading cars into the lowest of the MV Confederation.

You can put more cars on this boat than the Holiday Island, depending on how it's configured. It takes somewhat longer to load and unload, however, since everything is loaded and unloaded from one deck as opposed to two.

Gate closure before departing Wood Islands.

I fell asleep in one of the lounges shortly after leaving Wood Islands. I 'missed' most of the crossing, and when I woke up I couldn't feel my arms and legs. It must have been quite something to watch me get up and stumble out on deck.

The Caribou approach.

A hitchhiker?
