PS9 - Star Wars / Backlash

Here are the good people who saw Attack of the Clones for the first time with me. From left to right: The One and Only Joe Chisholm, Sarah McWhinney (his girlfriend), and of course the Unforgettable Colin Brown.

Then all of a sudden I saw Mike and his friends coming out of the previous show (see below). You can catch a glimpse of Jeremy's girlfriend Sacha here, as she becomes a tuft of wavy hair in the next image. Oh, and I have the distinction of having had deliberately zeroed her hard drive (with permission) in an attempt to get Jeremy playing StarCraft. To that end, the exercise was an unfortunate failure. (Zeroing goes beyond just a basic reformat - it means running a program to physically convert every 1 in those 1010101-ish groups to a 0, effectively wiping it beyond the reach of any bug or virus.)

Good, I actually got them to stop for a second! I might have went to the showing that they're coming out of here, but Joe, Sarah, and Colin weren't available until the later time. From left to right: Jon Saunders (co-star of Melon Street Money Pit), Sacha, Jeremy Strong (co-star of Melon Street Money Pit), Michael Fox (Jenny's boyfriend), Jeremy's delightful little brother Jon, Jenny Allen (Mike's girlfriend).

And here we are inside the theatre. I believe Sarah said something like, "Will, you're not supposed to take pictures inside a theatre!" Well, I do a lot of things I'm not supposed to do. I mean, I have a leather jacket, can't you see I'm a rebel?

The preceding month, WWE Backlash was the event of a Sunday night, and instead of going to a seedy, smoky bar, Paul Fox was kind enough to order it. (It makes sense, each guest pays him, then he pays the cable company.) Here you can catch a glimpse of the Fox IBM Headquarters. The set on the right is running Windows 2000 (Hey! No soda near the computer!), while the set on the left is running Linux. It's a good bet that Steve (on the left, ICQ# 51050268) is online right now. It seems like you can send him a message at any odd hour, and he's right back with a reply. I wonder when he sleeps. Now, if you look closely, you can see who the people are on the movie posters, and note that some of them have been on willmatheson.com already, though some have not. I'll introuce them all. (I'd provide an enlargement, but these Backlash pictures are low-res floppy-disk scans from Carsand-Mosher, not scans to the cinema-worthy Kodak Picture CD - in other words, I've tried, and it's futile.) From left to right: Janice Townsend, Joey Campbell, Corey Strong, Steve Fox (real, on the left), Jeremy Strong, Jon Saunders, Tim Conway, Ryan Cox, Adam Maher, Paul Fox (real, on the right, also of Lance Bowness and the Residence!).

This is Paul's drum set - this is the heart of Lance Bowness and the Residence!! This is where history truly begins! I instructed the fellow houseguest to move the drum sticks around as fast as he possibly could, because I wanted a blur effect. Oh, if only I had a manual camera.

Upstairs, during the WWE Undisputed Championship match between Hollywood Hulk Hogan and defending champion Triple H. As Mike said, it was HHH versus HHH! =)

Awww! Here's Mike, years ago, in an appearance on JWF All-Stars. He's doing a JWF Royal Rumble recap. The JWF was structured much like the WWF, only the superstars were a lot younger, and went by names such as "The Waffle King." Hey! You can tell where that video was shot! Go back to the drum set photo!
